Ms. Mobley brings extensive New Orleans and non-profit experience to the position. She has previously enjoyed working with the New Orleans Mayor’s Office of Public Advocacy, New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation, New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, National Lawyers Guild, and Center for Constitutional Rights. As a former board member for SHNO, she has extensive knowledge of the inner-workings of SHNO, its mission and core values and the community we serve.

“I could not be more thrilled that Sue has accepted the position of Executive Director for Sweet Home,” stated board chair Reid Wick. “Sue has the skill set and sensibilities that make her the perfect person to execute the mission of SHNO and to take us to greater success in ensuring the viability of New Orleans’ musicians and culture bearers.”

“It is my honor,” Mobley states, “to return to New Orleans for the very important task of supporting the musical and cultural heritage of this amazing city. I look forward to enhancing the role that SHNO has played in serving our artisans and taking this amazing organizations to greater heights.”

Ms. Mobley graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and an additional concentration in Sociology. She continued her education at the American University in Cairo where she completed a Master’s Degree in Political Science.
